Therapy for Women

The women I work with are usually the most perceptive person in the room, and the last to trust what they see. They're accomplished, often in demanding fields, and people would be surprised to learn how much of their energy goes into second-guessing: the email rewritten four times, the idea held back in the meeting, the relationship where they've made themselves a little smaller to keep the peace.

Many were told early that they were bright but scattered, or too much, or not living up to their potential. Some learned only later that their minds simply work differently. By adulthood, the doubt feels like a fact about them rather than something that happened to them.

What the work is — and isn't

This isn't coaching, and it isn't a system for getting organized. Plenty of women arrive having tried both. The work here is on what sits underneath: where the self-doubt came from, what it has protected, and what it has cost — at work, in love, and in what you let yourself want.

We talk. I ask questions and tell you what I see, including the things you're quick to wave away.

What tends to change

Over time, women often find they can take up more room without having to fight themselves for it — saying the thing in the meeting, asking for what they want in a relationship, trusting their own read on a situation.

“She helped me immensely with processing life in the big city, my anxiety and depression and the complexities of being a woman in the modern world… I saw her for over four years.”
